Mazda and Suzuki in economy probe
Mazda and Suzuki have become embroiled in a widening Japanese government probe into economy and emissions testing. After citing Nissan and Subaru earlier in the year manufacturers were requested to check their operations. Fluctuations in speed under test conditions affected the results of 50 percent of Suzuki tests, four percent of Mazda tests as well as two percent of Yamaha tests since 2012. None found significant anomalies in real world emissions and fuel economy and, as a result, no recalls are scheduled.
