Long road ahead
Infiniti is hoping to have QX50S in its Australian showrooms by the middle of next year. Spokesman Tony Mee said it was too early to talk about exact pricing but we can “expect it to be competitive” against its direct rivals. I’m guessing that translates to ‘cheaper than the Germans’.
“The QX50 represents a big opportunity for the brand to continue to establish a strong footprint in Australia, thanks to the growing popularity of medium SUVS in the premium market,” he added.
“The new VC engine will be a key selling point when it arrives in showrooms. Infiniti has a rich history of introducing world-first technologies to market – and the variable compression engine is another example of its technological capabilities.”
