Let’s talk about specs

-

Bar the expensive metallic paint, the Alfa’s in almost prime spec as tested here. The Volvo needs the $2500 Lifestyle Pack to get the glass roof and heated seats, and you’ll want to spend another $2400 for the air springs. The BMW? Leaving aside the fact that here we have an almost $90K car without seat heaters, we’d probably opt for just the $4550 M Sport Package (largely for the adaptive dampers, shift paddles and 19-inch wheels) and the $2800 Driving Assistant Plus pack which includes active cruise and lane-keep assist among others. The rest is just window dressing.
