If you manage to reverse a BMW X3 into anything solid, there’s really very little hope for you. The latest Surround View 3D cameras not only project the usual front, rear and overhead views onto the screen, but you can even circle a virtual view around the car showing in perfectly crisp 3D renderings the kerb, surrounding vehicles, parking meters, kids and anything else that might be in the vicinity. Safety’s not always sexy, but this is a delightful tech execution.
