“I’d have to say Jimmy Richards, he was unbelievable, I can tell you.

“I drove with Larry Perkins and Brock and all those blokes, and I drove with Jimmy, and over the years I had good races against him, and when people ask me who was the best driver, in that era I was there, I think Jimmy was the best. And he had the ability to do it in all different cars, and apparently he was very good at rally cars in New Zealand as well. He was bloody good.

“I think Brock was just much better in the PR department.”
