A half-decade on and some trim looks dated, tiny digital tacho is ugly and noise is still a constant companion despite two updates since 2014. But overall dash design/layout works well, with sophisticated wheel, driving position, MZD screen/controller and lower-console presentation. Bolstered outboard seats promote comfort and support; rear-seat kneeroom reasonable and most scalps avoid ceiling despite coupe-like silhouette due to low cushion. High waistline and narrow glass limit vision. Spare is a space saver. Boot volume is 408L, the second-best here.
