208 GTI send-off

Peugeot’s 208 GTI finale, the Edition Definitive, is effectively 2015’s superb 208 GTI 30th Anniversary for around $6K less. Suspension by Peugeot Sport brings a 10mm-lower ride height on specific springs and dampers, and Michelin Pilot Super Sport tyres on wider 18s. A freer exhaust and a recalibrated ECU lift the 1.6 turbo to 153kw (a symbolic 208hp) to drop 0-100km/h to 6.5sec with help from a Torsen LSD and recalibrated ESC. Big 323mm discs with four-pot Brembos feature up front. Visually, pearl white paint is teamed with matte-black exterior bits; inside are red-stitched Alcantara front seats; AEB is standard.
