Porsche 911 GT3 RS
At $416,500, Porsche’s ultimate trackfocused 911 will cost $30K more than the preceding version, and $90K more than the regular GT3 when it arrives at the end of the year. In an era of turbo Carreras, the atmo 4.0-litre flat-six RS has more appeal than ever. With 383kw and 470Nm, it’s more potent than before too, by 15kw and 10Nm, which sees the claimed 0-100km/h drop by 0.1sec to 3.2sec. More importantly, chassis advances including recalibrated rearwheel steering delivers a benchmark Nurburgring time 24sec quicker than the previous GT3 RS. An optional Weissach pack brings magnesium wheels and carbonfibre panels to further trim weight. And a no-cost Clubsport package aimed at serious trackdayers gives you a half rollcage, driver’s six-point harness, fire extinguisher and battery isolator.
