Like the beefed-up body, GTI’S vibrant, tech-laden, quality-obsessive cabin could be the Polo as the designers envisaged it, before it was diluted in the lesser variants (which leave us a bit cold), and it brings next-level luxury and refinement – though at some cost. Optional Active Driving Display effortlessly melds technology and functionality without distracting from driver appeal. Back seat cushion supportive; extra side window adds feeling of space. Spare is a space saver. Boot volume is a handy 351L.
