Mclaren 600LT

Wheels (Australia) - - Feature / Great Tv8s -

Mclaren’s 90-degree, flat-plane V8 architecture originates from Nissan’s VRH35L engine from the R390 GT1 racecar used in the company’s 1997 Le Mans campaign. But the engine was so completely reworked by UK engineering heavyweight Ricardo for Mclaren’s road-car application to become the M838T, that virtually every component is specific to the Woking sports car manufacturer. Hits its peak at 4.0-litres in the Senna, where it makes 597kw/800nm.
