BIGGER PUG 308
PEUGEOT PROMISES ITS new 308 small car will be bigger, safer, smarter and more efficient when it launches here in the first quarter of 2022. The newly revealed hatch sits on a 55mm-longer wheelbase, now measuring 2675mm, and is 107mm longer and 20mm lower. Peugeot claims this contributes to a more svelte silhouette (0.28 coefficient of drag) and extra cabin room for rear occupants. This will be the first generation of the 308 to be fitted with plug-in hybrid electric (PHEV) powertrains as an option, made possible by being based on the Stellantis group’s EMP2 platform.
