5. LUXURY SEDANS ON THE NOSE
The significant drop in luxury sedan sales stemmed from some dramatic decisions. Among them, Cadillac dropped the XTS (which sold well in China) and CT6, Lincoln killed the Continental due to Ford’s strategic decision to axe four-door models in favour of SUVs, and Porsche introduced a rival to its own Panamera in the shape of the electric Taycan. Sales of the Lexus LS – just three years old – have dwindled, too, especially in Europe.
