n YAMAGEN. Japanese. Yamagen at QT Gold Coast has recre­ated a tra­di­tional Japanese iza­kaya with au­then­tic Japanese cui­sine and cut­ting-edge cock­tails. The Yamagen ex­pe­ri­ence spans three unique spa­ces: the Bar, Ta­ble-seki and the Sushi Counter. High­lights in­clude the pan-fried wagyu beef gy­oza; salt and pep­per tem­pura squid with soy chilli kew­pie; a heart-warm­ing bowl of Soba Dragon, a hot chilli kake based soup with buck­wheat noo­dles and gar­lic prawns; or a se­lec­tion of skew­ers from the famed kushiyaki grill such as tebasaki chicken wings, miso black cod, More­ton Bay baby squid or lo­cal pork belly.
