“Amer­i­can Id­iot” re­turns to rock QPAC’S Play­house this month. Win­ner of two Tony Awards and the 2010 Grammy Award-win­ner for Best Mu­si­cal Show Al­bum, “Amer­i­can Id­iot” is the story of three boy­hood friends, each search­ing for mean­ing in a post 9/11, Trumpian-sub­ur­bia. Fea­tur­ing the mu­sic of Green Day, this thrilling new mu­si­cal has in­tro­duced a gen­er­a­tion of the­atre­go­ers to their pow­er­ful and mov­ing mu­si­cal style. The high-oc­tane Bris­bane sea­son will in­clude an all-aus­tralian cast fea­tur­ing Phil Jamieson and Sarah Mcleod and in­cludes ev­ery song from Green Day’s al­bum “Amer­i­can Id­iot”, as well as sev­eral songs from their fol­low-up re­lease, “21st Cen­tury Break­down”.
