Last event of the Whitsunday year
Whitsunday golfers played their last competition of the year on Sunday in the December Monthly Medal/Least Putts sponsored by the Airlie Panel and Paint, Master Butchers Whitsunday and MBW on the Barbie in conjunction with the 2018 Medal of Medals.
Weather conditions were a little cooler than recent days and whatever breeze was present was welcome.
Thirty-two players competed with 21 of them eligible for MOM.
Monthly Medal winners were also the 2018 Medal of Medals winners with scores impressively low with lots of run on the fairways.
Anna Winterbourn made an impressive return to the course as ladies’ runner-up, with the longest drive and an NTP, Pam Kercher played a very impressive longest drive, her best of the year and Ron Jamieson came very close to a hole in one on the 13th

This is the last competition of the year with the presentation evening to be held on Saturday, where all trophies will be presented, thanks given and 2018 club champions revealed.
Tee off at the Jubilee Tavern at 6.30pm. Music by Gypsy Kiss, prizes for the best dressed lady and gent.
Guests will be Bronny Nicol, Peter and Diane Krause and Roger Vandenburg.
WINNERS: Scotty Wardroper (B-grade), Vicki Tuck (ladies), Anthony Gwalter (A -grade) enjoyed success on Sunday.
