Last event of the Whit­sun­day year

Whit­sun­day golfers played their last com­pe­ti­tion of the year on Sun­day in the De­cem­ber Monthly Medal/Least Putts spon­sored by the Air­lie Panel and Paint, Master Butch­ers Whit­sun­day and MBW on the Bar­bie in con­junc­tion with the 2018 Medal of Medals.

Weather con­di­tions were a lit­tle cooler than re­cent days and what­ever breeze was present was wel­come.

Thirty-two play­ers com­peted with 21 of them el­i­gi­ble for MOM.

Monthly Medal win­ners were also the 2018 Medal of Medals win­ners with scores im­pres­sively low with lots of run on the fair­ways.

Anna Win­ter­bourn made an im­pres­sive re­turn to the course as ladies’ run­ner-up, with the long­est drive and an NTP, Pam Kercher played a very im­pres­sive long­est drive, her best of the year and Ron Jamieson came very close to a hole in one on the 13th

Con­grat­u­la­tions to An­thony Gwal­ter, Scotty Wardroper and Vicki Tuck who are the Dec MM and 2018 Medal of Medals win­ners.

Men’s A-grade:

Win­ner : An­thony Gwal­ter with 67 nett on a count­back from Run­ner-up : Lew Tuck

Men’s B-grade:

Win­ner: Scotty Wardroper with 60 nett

Run­ner-up : Ritchie Atkins on 64


Win­ner : Vicki Tuck with 64 nett

Run­ner-up : Anna Win­ter­bourn with 67 nett

This is the last com­pe­ti­tion of the year with the pre­sen­ta­tion evening to be held on Satur­day, where all tro­phies will be pre­sented, thanks given and 2018 club cham­pi­ons re­vealed.

Tee off at the Ju­bilee Tav­ern at 6.30pm. Mu­sic by Gypsy Kiss, prizes for the best dressed lady and gent.

Guests will be Bronny Ni­col, Peter and Diane Krause and Roger Van­den­burg.
