Drink driving fine
A MAN caught drink driving has been fined $500 and disqualified from driving for three months. Benjamin Andrew Howard, 44, of Cannonvale, pleaded guilty in Proserpine Magistrates Court on Monday to driving over the general alcohol limit. Prosecutor Robert Beamish told the court Howard recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.084 when he was stopped by police on Shute Harbour Rd, at 11.40pm on November 16. Representing himself, Howard said he thought he had spaced his drinks out enough to be under the limit. No conviction was recorded.
