Farewell crusader Anthony Foster BABIES

-

A tireless advocate for victims of sexual abuse at the hands of the Catholic Church, Anthony Foster, 64, died in Melbourne on May 26, reportedly after a stroke. The father of three’s crusade for justice was sparked by personal heartache: two of his daughters, Emma and Katie, were repeatedly raped in primary school by Melbourne priest Kevin O’donnell. Emma took her own life at age 26 and Katie battled alcohol abuse before being hit by a car in 1999, which left her severely disabled. “Anthony’s heart was so big—he fought for others to make sure what happened to our family could not happen to anyone else,” his family said in a statement. Foster will be farewelled at a state funeral, the Victorian government has announced. “History will record that a man named Anthony Foster quietly and profoundly changed Australian history,” said Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews. “The fight for justice goes on.”
