THRONE TOGETHER

-

When Game of Thrones launched back in 2011, Sophie Turner—she plays Sansa Stark, then a good girl keen to marry a prince—and Maisie Williams—her role is as Sansa’s sister, Arya, then a tomboy with a penchant for swordplay and getting into scrapes— were 15 and 14 respectively.

While their sibling characters followed separate, eventful, dramatic and perilous paths (and haven’t shared a scene since Season 1), Turner and Williams, now all grown up in their 20s, have forged a rock-solid friendship that has lasted through the seasons. They even look set to outlast winter. (For more on Sophie Turner, see p. 38.) Shane Sutton, Editor editor@who.com
