THE GOOD COP
STARRING: Josh Groban, Tony Danza
We all know the saying “good cop, bad cop”, but in this new police procedural with a comedic slant, we get one of each in the same family. Danza is Tony Caruso Snr, a former officer kicked off the force for not playing by the rules; Groban is son Tony Caruso Jnr, who follows the letter of the law. Since they share a house, dad ends up doing plenty of backseat policing, while the younger Tony finds that his inflexible approach may have to bend a bit, especially when, in the first episode, he’s set up for murder. An easy-to-watch alternative to the plethora of heavier crime shows around. (From Sept. 21 on Netflix)
