JESS & MATT’S HONEYMOON All Together Now judges share their plans
The newlyweds talk about their future plans
T heir rise to fame began in 2015 when Matt Price and Jess Dunbar appeared on the seventh season of The X
Factor, making it through to the grand final. In the three years since, the music duo have signed with major record company Sony, released two albums and, amid all the madness, managed to plan the wedding of their dreams. “It was really musical,” Price says. “We made a whole weekend out of it, which was really special.”
Their Hunter Valley nuptials saw the bride wear a two-piece corset and skirt by Sant Elia before celebrating their vows with a tiered cake made from wheels of cheese. “It was everything we wanted,” Price reveals. “We didn’t want to be too caught up in all the planning.”
Most recently, the pair have celebrated their honeymoon with a relaxing holiday to Bali before a trip to Nashville to work on their next album. “It was technically our honeymoon, but we decided to go on a work trip as well,” Dunbar says. “We came back with seven new songs that we’re really passionate about.”
While the pair are already making big plans for next year and hoping to release their third album, the 27-year-old newlyweds reveal that babies aren’t on the brain. “People ask, ‘Are you trying to have kids yet?’”
But it seems marriage is a big enough step in their relationship for now. “I’ve taken Matt’s last name,” Dunbar reveals. “But I haven’t done all the legal stuff yet.”
