There is something a little Spinal Tap about crazy British rockers Muse, returning with their eighth album. As well as heavily orchestrated outpourings in “Algorithm” and the out-there “Propaganda” which takes musical themes from Prince’s “Kiss” and deconstructs them with a jackhammer, the operatic cacophony is supported by videos harking to pop culture icons such as Tron (“The Dark Side”), Back to the Future (“Pressure”) and Teen Wolf (“Something Human”). An a-muse-ing one – for fans.
