JUNE 23 The Wild Boars enter the cave. JUNE 24 Handmarks and footprints are found at the entrance of the cave by searchers. JUNE 25 Thai Navy SEAL divers enter the cave to search for the boys, but flooding stops their efforts. JUNE 27-28 Diving and cave experts from the UK, US, China and Australia arrive but heavy rain hampers the search. JUNE 30 Search resumes. JULY 2 UK divers reach the 12 boys and their coach. JULY 3 Thai SEALS and medics deliver food and medicine to the boys. JULY 6 Former SEAL Saman Gunan dies during a dive. Oxygen levels in the cave drop. JULY 8 18 rescue divers enter the cave and the first two boys are rescued. JULY 9 Four more boys are rescued. JULY 10 The remaining boys and their coach leave the cave, followed by the remaining divers and other rescuers. JULY 11 It’s announced the Tham Luang cave will become a tourist attraction to showcase the rescue. JULY 24 Dr Richard Harris and Craig Challen are awarded the Star of Courage by the Governor-general. AUG. 8 Coach Ek, and three of the other stateless Wild Boars, are granted Thai citizenshi­p.
