Can you tell us about the new beauty treat­ment you’re try­ing?

Ulther­apy is a new treat­ment I’ve just re­cently had and I’m ac­tu­ally hon­oured to be their new brand am­bas­sador. The thing that ex­cited me is that they’re call­ing it the ‘non­sur­gi­cal facelift’ and tight­en­ing treat­ment … now I’m like ‘ hello’!

What do you mean by ‘non-sur­gi­cal?’

It’s an ul­tra­sound ma­chine that stim­u­lates the col­la­gen un­der the sur­face layer of the skin. So it’s at the foun­da­tion level of the skin and this is the ac­tual layer of the skin, that if you’re hav­ing an ac­tual facelift, they would ac­tu­ally pull up. When they said that I thought this is un­be­liev­able and too good to be true, but it’s an in­cred­i­ble pro­ce­dure.

What’s the sen­sa­tion like?

It’s very sim­i­lar to other lasers and things like that. I think it’s one of the most phe­nom­e­nal things I’ve done; it makes you feel younger. There’s no down­time so you can lit­er­ally rock up in your lunch break, get it done, and go back to work.

Any other favourite treat­ments?

I do love a good fa­cial and a good mas­sage, but I think in the last 12 months I’ve felt like self-care has had to be a bit of a pri­or­ity in my life, es­pe­cially at the be­gin­ning of this year, things got a bit on top of me and I felt a bit over­whelmed. I had to stop and de­cide what was im­por­tant and what was not, what to keep and what to get rid of, I re­ally stream­lined my life.

How do you take time for your­self?

Now I med­i­tate ev­ery day, I also med­i­tate with my kids and I get up at 5.30 to do yoga or Pi­lates. I feel like I’m a re­ally dif­fer­ent, more com­plete, calm per­son.

Is that your favourite form of ex­er­cise?

I re­ally love Ash­tanga yoga, I’m re­ally lov­ing that and then I do car­dio ten­nis with my girl­friends.

How has moth­er­hood changed you?

I feel like moth­er­hood has changed me as a per­son and just in get­ting my pri­or­i­ties right.
