The singer and Indian actress wed during an elaborate celebration

MOST GIRLS SPEND YEARS DREAMING ABOUT their wedding day and lucky Priyanka Chopra got to marry the man of her dreams not once, but twice. After first connecting with singer Nick Jonas, 26, in 2016 and getting engaged after just two months of dating, the pair spent a week tying the knot in celebration with friends and family.

The “Jealous” singer popped the question to the Indian actress in Crete on her 36th birthday on July 18 after reportedly hiring out an entire Tiffany & Co. store to pick her ring. But their nuptials were even more elaborate – filled with A-list guests, henna tattoos and vibrant wedding attire.

Chopra dazzled in a custom Ralph Lauren wedding dress, with Jonas and the whole bridal party sporting the same designer, with both families following suit. On Dec. 1, the pair said their vows during a traditional Christian wedding ceremony in Chopra’s home country of India, before continuing the festivities and honouring the bride’s heritage with a Hindu ceremony.

In an Instagram post shortly after the traditional Indian ceremony, Chopra wrote: “One of the most special things that our relationship has given us is a merging of families who love and respect each other’s faiths and cultures. And so planning our wedding with an amalgamation of both was so, so amazing.” •

A Mehendi ceremony was organised by Chopra’s family, held at her Mumbai home where the bride was decorated with henna. The happy couple pictured during a pre-marriage ritual called a Puja, where Hindu deity Ganesh is worshipped for good luck.

Chopra’s bridesmaid and cousin Parineeti Chopra said, “I’m so, so happy that the Jonas and Chopra family are now united!”
