Major winners on the night were Amy Shark and 5 Seconds of Summer, with the band picking up three awards, including Best Live Act. Best Male Artist was awarded to Geoffrey Gurrumul, who died in July 2017. His daughter Jasmine Yunupingu accepted on his behalf.
