What can we expect from Rollo when the show returns?

He’s in his 60s and facing his own mortality. He’s like a volcano – when he erupts, it’s devastation.

Have you had to be careful exposing your three kids to the violence on the show? It’s pretty intense.

The Vikings crew is phenomenal – they made rubber swords and shields for them to play with so they knew Daddy wasn’t a barbarian for a living.

Before you were an actor, you were an international Muay Thai boxer. Do you still train?

Not competitively. The problem is when you used to be good at something, you’ve always got that one person [at the gym] going, “I want to beat up Rollo!”
