A MAGIC EVENT

-

Royal fans got a thrill at the 2019 Pacific Fair Magic Millions Polo on Jan. 6, when the carnival’s patron, Zara Tindall, and her husband, Mike Tindall, mingled with guests before Zara took to the field on horseback. Under the beating Gold Coast sun, local celebrities and influencers clinked glasses of Champagne in a number of ultra-glam marquees, including the Harrolds marquee – which was, thankfully, airconditioned. The Star, Palazzo Versace, Pacific Fair and Woodford Reserve were among the other sponsors with marquees – each filled with revellers dressed in their best. The day included three matches of polo, one of which was a celebrity match where world-famous polo player Nacho Figueras captained the Veuve Clicquot team against Zara, who led Team Harrolds. NRL legend Billy Slater could also be seen on horseback ripping around the field. People in general admission were invited to put their best foot forward at the Harrolds fashion on the field and enjoy a performance by Mike Lindsay. It’s great to see the Gold Coast put on an event to rival iconic international polo tournaments. Hope you enjoy the issue. Keshnee Kemp @keshnee
