REALITY-TV STARS ANGIE KENT AND YVIE JONES ARE HEADING INTO THE SOUTH AFRICAN JUNGLE
AVID FANS OF GOGGLEBOX WERE heartbroken at the end of 2018 when Channel Ten confirmed Angie Jones and Yvie Kent were leaving the series they’d played a huge role in since it debuted in Australia in 2015.
“After eight amazing seasons, Angie and Yvie have decided to switch off their TVS and farewell Gogglebox,” the show’s Twitter account read in December. “We wish you all the best and thank you for all your incredible TV watching.”
Now the two are making their way back onto our screens in I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! “I am a massive fan of watching celebrities do absurd things in the jungle but I never thought I would be one of those people doing it,” Jones said in a statement. “I cannot wait to get up close and personal with Lady JMO and Dr Chris!”
Adds Kent: “I cannot believe we have spent four seasons watching, laughing and commentating on this show from inside our living room and now we will be the ones being laughed at! Bring on plenty of laughs in the jungle!” •
