You may be familiar with the 16-year-old actress from film Australia Day and TV series The Gods of Wheat Street, but the younger sister of Madeleine Madden ( Picnic at Hanging Rock) will reach a new audience as co-presenter of the third season of Crash the Bash (starts Sat., Jan. 12; Nickelodeon). “Acting and hosting are two entirely different playing fields,” Madden says. “With hosting, I am able to show my personality instead of hiding behind a character. Don’t get me wrong, I love acting, however hosting has shown me a different way of performing, which I’m really enjoying.” Madden will host the kids’ series alongside Lee Carseldine and tells WHO her on-air partner “is amazing to work with. He knows a lot about cricket, which is handy for me! The only cricket I have played is backyard or beach cricket, so I’m glad my batting skills weren’t part of the screening process.” As Madden prepares to complete high school and think about a future in entertainment, she says she’s been lucky “to have my sister Maddy in the film industry because I’ve always had someone to receive advice from. A piece of advice Maddy has always told me is to go with my gut instinct and trust my creativity.”

?? ?? Madden says this season will feature “awesome pranks, dares, challenges and a whole lot of slime.”
