Middleton Pippa
The new mum returns home after enjoying some fun family time in the Caribbean sunshine
AFTER A SOAKING UP THE SUN AND splashing around in the Caribbean waters of St Barts for over a week, Pippa Middleton’s luxurious getaway has finally come to an end. The new mother was seen cradling her 3-month-old baby, Arthur, as she headed to the airport with her husband, James Matthews.
The Duchess of Cambridge’s younger sister, 35, looked relaxed and still very much in holiday mode after the family getaway that included both the Middleton and Matthews clans.
She kept it casual as she departed the tropical island, recycling a pale blue shirt dress with printed motifs by Maje that she wore on her honeymoon, while James, 43, opted for a navy shirt and tan shorts.
The tot was well-behaved, sleeping peacefully in his mother’s arms. The holiday is the first overseas trip for the couple since becoming parents on Oct. 15 last year. “Everyone is delighted and mother and baby are doing well,” a spokesperson revealed at the time.
The couple was seen saying their farewells to family members including, Pippa’s parents, James and Carole Middleton, and sister-in-law Vogue Williams, 33, who also welcomed a son, Theodore, in September last year with her husband, Made In Chelsea star Spencer Matthews, 30.
You never could have guessed that both women had given birth recently; the new mums looked in great shape, with Pippa revealing her fabulous post-baby body while taking a dip in the ocean during the vacation.
Of course, that Pippa is in such great shape is no surprise – she is well known as an avid fitness fan, and previously spoke about how she kept fit throughout her pregnancy. “Swimming throughout pregnancy offers a wonderful feeling of weightlessness,” she revealed in her column for Waitrose magazine. “I’d confidently say I find it has been the most enjoyable and rewarding form of exercise since I found out I was expecting.” •
