Dressed in all black, wearing minimal makeup with hair slicked back into a high ponytail, model Jordyn Woods, previously known for being Kylie Jenner’s best friend, joined Jada Pinkett Smith on the Facebook show Red Table Talk on March 1 to break her silence. It had been just over a week since it was revealed that Khloé Kardashian and Tristan Thompson, who have 10-month-old daughter True together, split after the NBA player had allegedly made out Woods. On the show, the 21-year-old model detailed how after a night out, she went to a party at Thompson’s house. She denied rumours that she gave him a “lap dance” insisting instead that while sitting on the arm of a chair, her “legs were laying right over his”. She denied sleeping with him, saying the pair were never alone and although she had been drinking, she claimed she was never “drunk to where I couldn’t remember what happened.”
“On the way out, he did kiss me,” admitted Woods. “No passion, no nothing… Like a kiss on the lips, no tongue kiss, no making out, nothing.”
Woods said she doesn’t think Thompson was “wrong” to make a move. “I allowed myself to be in that position. And when alcohol is involved people make dumb moves.” She said she was “in shock” and thought, “Let me just pretend like that didn’t happen.”
On her decision to not immediately come clean, Woods said she was trying to “protect Khloé’s heart… I’m no home wrecker. I would never try to hurt someone’s home, especially someone that I love. I never was trying to steal someone’s man.”
Thompson, 27, was first caught allegedly cheating on Kardashian last April when photos and videos surfaced of him getting close to other women just days before she gave birth. Though she initially forgave him, a source recently told WHO that things “never really went back to normal” between the couple.
Now, “I know I’m not the reason Tristan and Khloé
aren’t together,” Woods told Pinkett Smith. “This situation may have made it harder for her to want to be with him, and I understand that, but I know I’m not the reason.”
Not so fast. Shortly after the interview posted online, Kardashian, 34, slammed the model, tweeting, “Why are you lying?? If you’re going to try and save yourself by going public, instead of calling me privately to apologise first, at least be honest about your story … You ARE the reason my family broke up!” Minutes later she added, “Tristan is equally to blame but Tristan is the father of
my child. Regardless of what he does to me, I won’t do that to my daughter. He has been addressing this situation privately.”
However, a series of emotional tweets on March 2 revealed a change of heart: “This has been an awful week,” Kardashian posted. “I’m a roller-coaster of emotions and have said things I shouldn’t have. Honestly, Tristan cheating on me & humiliating me, wasn’t such a shock as the first time… What’s been harder & more painful is being hurt by someone so close to me. Someone whom I love & treat like a little sister. But Jordyn is not to be blamed for the break-up of my family. This was Tristan’s fault.”
While Kardashian was hurt by the scandal, “it’s much more difficult” for Kylie Jenner, a source tells WHO. “She has basically lost part of her world. She always trusted Jordyn with everything.” The pair had been best friends since high school, with Woods moving in with Jenner and daughter Stormi, 1, in recent years (she has since moved out).“kylie just can’t make sense of what happened,” the source said.
Just when things couldn’t get more tumultuous, TMZ reported on Feb. 28 that the Kylie Cosmetics mogul, 21, had accused her own boyfriend, Travis Scott, of cheating. A rep for the rapper went on to strongly deny to WHO that he was unfaithful.
“Kylie had a rough week,” the source says of the drama. “She is still devastated about Jordyn and had an argument with Travis after she checked his phone and saw something that she didn’t like.” However, according to the source, “Travis says he didn’t cheat.”
The source says that although “Kylie was upset at first,” she “seems better” now. “She isn’t breaking up with him,” the insider adds.
Now, both sisters are leaning on the one thing they can count on: their famous family.
“Really at issue is the fact that Tristan publicly embarrassed Khloé, and if there’s anything the Kardashians won’t tolerate, it’s being embarrassed by someone else’s bad behaviour,” an insider explains. “The family is circling the wagons.”
