ADA NICODEMOU

The mother, actress and our fitness inspo talks all things beauty and what motherhood means to her

-

When do you feel at your most beautiful?

I feel at my most beautiful on those days where I feel like I’ve done a few things for myself, like exercise, or I’ve read a book, had a laugh with a friend, whatever that may be … and I’ve probably got my hair and makeup done and I may have a new outfit on!

What beauty advice did your mum pass on to you?

My mum is definitely not a girlie girl but the one thing that she always told me to do – and that I always do – is moisturise my body and my face.

What important values do you hope to teach your son, Johnas? Obviously, there’s many things that you want to instil in your child, like being happy with themselves, treating people with respect, doing what you love to do ... but a really big thing for me is always sticking to your word. How has motherhood changed you?

It’s taught me that I can’t control everything in life and there’s certain things that you need to let go of because not everything needs to be perfect.

Has it changed your thoughts on beauty?

Yes and no – I don’t have as much time for beauty so I need to be more efficient. For example, I try and do most of my beauty routine in the shower. What would your ideal Mother’s Day look like?

Waking up, going to the gym, and then spending a gorgeous day with my son.

Can you share some of your favourite gifts?

My son has made me a card for the past couple of years and I think that that’s the best present! Favourite beauty treatment? Skin needling and a Fraxel laser [treatment] every couple of years. And, whenever I can fit in, a facial. Favourite family holiday? Cyprus is always great because I get to hang out with all of my family that I don’t see very often. And it’s so nice for Johnas to hang out with family as well.
