A ROYAL ARRIVAL AT LAST!

-

It feels like we’ve been waiting a lifetime for news of the royal family’s newest arrival – and it seems the world was just as overjoyed as new father Prince Harry when he announced his little boy had arrived safely on May 6. With a beaming smile, appearing giddy with excitement, Harry revealed his wife, Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, and their son, who will now be seventh-in-line to the throne (see above) were both doing well. Among the first to send well wishes was former US First Lady Michelle Obama, who shared her delight on Twitter.

“Congratulations, Meghan and Harry! Barack and I are so thrilled for both of you and can’t wait to meet him. #RoyalBaby,” she wrote. The Archbishop of Canterbury, who married the couple last May, also got in on the action and wished the royals well.

“Congratulations to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex on the birth of their baby boy,” he wrote. “May God bless the new family with love, health and happiness.”

Suits actress Sarah Rafferty congratulated her friend, saying, “Hearts are leaping for a beautiful, wondrous and healthy baby boy! Sending much love and wishes for every blessing across the pond today and everyday!”

The new baby bumps Prince Andrew, the second son of the Queen, into eighth place in line to the throne, and he’ll be behind his royal cousins, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
