The reality star and rapper prepare to expand their brood
AFTER KIM KARDASHIAN WEST admitted she was “freaking out” ahead of the arrival of her and husband Kanye West’s fourth child – a son who they’re expecting via surrogate – the reality star, 38, gathered her famous friends and family on April 27 to celebrate with a CBD- and meditation-themed gathering at the couple’s $85 million home.
Guests, including her mum Kris Jenner, sister Kourtney as well as Chrissy Teigen and Paris Hilton, were given navy blue Yeezy slides and lounged on mats outside, enjoyed a ‘sound bath’, suggested unique monikers on a Name Game board and made body oils and bath salts infused with the cannabis-plant derivative – a legal remedy for anxiety in California. “I thought it was kind of ridiculous to have a fourth baby shower. But I thought I’m freaking the f--k out having a fourth kid,” said the KKW makeup mogul, who is mum of North, 5, Saint, 3, and Chicago, 1. “I thought what better way to celebrate than to have a little CBD [cannabidiol].”
This time, the couple are using a different gestational carrier than they did with Chicago, but “Kim is very involved,” a source tells WHO. “Kim goes to doctor’s visits with the carrier and makes sure that she has everything she needs.”
The star is also keen to make the transition smooth for her whole family. “Having a baby shower for Chi was actually so much more beneficial for my kids because they actually saw that it was like, ‘A new baby is coming,’ ” she said.
North, especially, needs help with the adjustment. “North acts like an only child at all times,” Kim told Ashley Graham on her Pretty Big Deal podcast in October. “She said to me the other day, ‘Mom … we just need to have another baby brother so that Saint can just leave me alone.’ ”
With their son due soon, Kim and Kanye, “are over the moon,” a source tells WHO. “They’ve always talked about wanting four kids: two boys and two girls. That’s always been the plan.”•
