THE ACTRESS DEBUTS HER BABY BUMP IN A GLAMOROUS GOWN
HAND-IN-HAND WITH HER HUSBAND, JAMES RIGHTON, Keira Knightley beamed on May 2 as she made her way into the Place Vendôme for a Chanel J12 cocktail party in Paris, where she was spotted cradling her belly.
Knightley, 34, tied the knot with Righton, 35, the keyboardist for the Klaxons, in France on May 4, 2013. The baby on the way will join sister Edie, who turns 4 in May. While she hasn’t shared any photos of her daughter, Knightley has been open about motherhood. “It’s a very primal, primal love. That’s quite extraordinary,” she told Elle in 2015. “And the ability to have no sleep and continue going. It’s not pleasant – I never thought that I could actually do it for the amount of time that I’ve done it.”
In January, she was candid with Balance magazine. “I don’t think we give women enough credit for the physical and emotional marathon they go through when becoming a mother,” she said. “I have an incredible support system … and yet I still find it really f--king difficult,” she added, explaining it “doesn’t mean
I don’t love my kid. It’s just me admitting that the sleep deprivation, the hormonal changes, the shift in relationship with my partner, are all things that make me feel as if I’m failing on a daily basis. I haven’t failed, I’m just doing what I can do, but it’s not easy.” Speaking to WHO in October, she called Edie “phenomenal. She’s great in every way.” •
