This eight-part series focuses on a truly fractured trio – American media mogul Max Finch (Gere in the first major TV role of his career), who is equal parts charm and viciousness; his British ex-wife, Kathryn (Helen McCrory); and underpressure, cocaine-abusing son Caden (Billy Howle), who looks after the company’s flagship newspaper.
