It was one of the most magical moments of 2018, when a grinning Prince Harry said,
‘I do’ to his bride, and broke all royal rules by wedding former American actress, Meghan Markle. Since then, the couple have travelled Down Under for the Invictus Games, set up their new home at Frogmore Cottage, Windsor, and welcomed their firstborn son, Archie, into the world.
As the Duke and Duchess of Sussex celebrated their first wedding anniversary on May 19, the royal couple sent out a heartfelt message to their fans on their Instagram account, @sussexroyal, so they too could reminisce about last May’s wedding of the year.
“Their Royal Highnesses exchanged vows at St George’s Chapel within the grounds of Windsor Castle on May 19th, 2018,” the message wrote. Alongside the sweet caption was a black-and-white video from Meghan and Harry’s spring wedding day, showing a slideshow of new, candid images.
“The selected song ‘This Little Light of Mine’ was chosen by the couple for their recessional. We hope you enjoy reliving this moment, and seeing some behind-thescenes photos from this special day.”
Their chosen song played in the background, with a soulful choir singing “This little light of mine, I’m going to let it shine,” to take royal fans back to the day the royal couple exchanged vows.
The end of the caption was a message from Meghan and Harry: “Thank you for all of the love and support from so many of you around the world. Each of you made this day even more meaningful.” So beautiful!
