MY POST-BABY BOD

Kate Hudson shares

Nobody does ‘bouncing back post-baby’ better than mum-of-three Kate Hudson. Since welcoming daughter Rani into the world with partner Danny Fujikawa in October 2018, Hudson has shared with her fans glimpses into how she’s been getting back in shape. Recently, the actress has been holidaying in Italy with Fujikawa and her three kids – Ryder, 15, Bingham, 7, and 8-month-old Rani – and on June 10, enjoyed a day out on the water with mum Goldie Hawn and step-dad Kurt Russell. Posting a tribute to Fujikawa on June 11 for his birthday, Hudson, 40, wrote: “This man has given me the most beautiful gifts life can give and the depth of gratitude I feel for the day he was born is beyond any measured spoken word or post.”

Sharing her family life and how she manages as a working mum resonates with many of Hudson’s social-media followers. “The routine with our baby is getting more familiar and I’m ready to start taking a little time in the day focusing on myself. For me, that means my health,” Hudson wrote on November 30. “Why? Because I wanna be around a long time for these three kiddos of mine.”

Being as transparent as possible, Hudson even shared her goal weight with fans adding that, like all mums, she has other priorities. “I will be shooting a film in the spring and I’m looking to shed 25lbs [11kg],” she said. “I’d like to try new workouts and eat as healthy as I can. I wanna do all this and keep up milk production, raise my kids, work everyday, make time for my man, have girlfriend time and stay sane!”

On April 18 the How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days star shared an update on Instagram. “I’m a couple lbs from goal weight! I’ve done it without stressing on food or working out like crazy although I have been disciplined,” the actress wrote. “Sharing the little parts of my wellness journey with you makes me feel oh so good. I can only hope that what I put out there can make you feel good and bring encouragement in return.”

One of the ways the WW (formerly Weight Watchers) ambassador has been getting back into shape by following Revenge Body With Khloe Kardashian coach Nicole Winhoffer’s NW Method and working with her trainer, Nicole Stuart – who she posts videos with doing high-intensity, dance-inspired workouts. “I think cardio is really important, not necessarily running a long distance, but doing something that will get your heart rate up, which is why we love dance,” Stuart told Women’s Health.

Following Rani’s birth, Hudson hopped on her Peloton bike – an at-home spin bike that includes live streams of classes – for a workout. “OK, on this Thanksgiving day, I’m thankful for Peloton,” Hudson said on Instagram. “I’m about to have my first ride in months, so excited.”

Hudson revealed she doesn’t always have time to work with personal trainers but she’ll always make her health a priority. “I workout in weird places – like in hotel rooms where I don’t need weights. I usually have about 20 minutes, so I’ll do yoga or my Pilates,” she told News Corp. “I really utilise technology like apps to give me no excuse, and I’ll also try [to] get out and walk.”
