BLENDED IN HOLLYWOOD
The celebrity modern families proving love exists in all shapes
From Jason Momoa and Lenny Kravitz’s friendship rings to Momoa’s matching tattoo with stepdaughter Zoë Kravitz, there’s no doubt that the blended and extended family of Jason Momoa, 39, and Lisa Bonet, 51, is one of the most interesting in Hollywood. Bonet and ex-husband Lenny have daughter Zoë, 30, while she and Momoa share son Nakoa-Wolf, 10, and daughter Lola, 11. And, according to Lenny, 55, family dinners aren’t awkward at all. “Zoë’s mom and I now are best friends,” he said on Oprah’s Master Class. “When we’re all together now – her man, her kids, Zoë, me – we’re all together and we’re one big, happy family.”
So happy, in fact, that Lenny goes out of his way to support Momoa any chance he gets. “My brother @prideofgypsies is doing his thing right now on @nbcsnl,” the singer wrote on December 9 last year, when Momoa hosted Saturday Night Live. As for Zoë, she too shares a special bond with Momoa (who is closer in age to his stepdaughter than his wife). “Love you papabear,” Big Little Lies actress Zoë wrote on Momoa’s birthday last
year. The pair even share matching forearm tattoos that read ‘être toujours ivre’, French for ‘always be drunk’.
Bonet and Lenny got together when she was just 19, and the actress previously said, “We were too young, we were babies. Our marriage was not based on reality.” Her ex-husband echoed the sentiments on Master Class: “We were very young and it was wonderful and we had Zoë. I see now what it was all about. It was really all about bringing this beautiful child to the planet.”
As for Momoa, marrying Bonet gave him the biggest gift of all: “My wife gave me three beautiful, feral kids.”
