LOVE IS IN THE AIR
If you’re anything like me, you’ve probably uttered the words “this year is going so fast” at some point in the last month. After all, we’re already in August!
But nothing can make you feel like time is flying quite as much as when a child you’ve watched grow up gets engaged. Case in point, Bindi Irwin.
The daughter of the late Crocodile Hunter, Steve Irwin, shared the happy news that she got engaged to her boyfriend of more than five years, Chandler Powell, on July 24 while celebrating her 21st birthday at Australia Zoo.
“He’s my happily ever after,” Bindi said, sharing romantic photos of the proposal secretly taken by her brother Robert, 15.
American-born Chandler, 22, has already relocated to Australia, where Bindi lives, and works alongside her and her mother Terri. “I am so very happy,” Terri said. “And I know Steve would be too.”
And the happy news doesn’t end there for Australian stars, with Natalie Imbruglia, 44, announcing she’s expecting her first child. You can read all the details on page 19.
We were also thrilled when Home and Away’s Sarah Roberts and James Stewart chose to share their gorgeous wedding album with WHO after tying the knot in an intimate ceremony in Ireland. And speaking of people growing up before our eyes, the gorgeous Scout, 7 (Stewart’s daughter with actress Jessica
Marais) looks proud as punch standing beside her dad and his gorgeous bride Sarah.
