‘WE’RE HAVING A BABY’ Reality stars Cyrell Paule and Eden Dally share their joy
The ‘MAFS’ star and her ‘Love Island’ boyfriend are going to be parents!
Cyrell Paule and her boyfriend of five months Eden Dally have some exciting news to share – they’re expecting a baby! The reality TV pair reveal to WHO their little bundle of joy, due February next year, is a surprise. The couple have faced a lot during their short relationship, consistently at the forefront of controversy, but they hope their special announcement will silence the haters, as they vehemently deny rumours their relationship – and subsequent pregnancy – is just for publicity. Here, they dish all the details on how they found out and what comes next for their soon-to-be family of three.
When did you find out you were pregnant? CYRELL A few weeks back [I found out]. I cried! I was freaking out, I was so scared. My girlfriend was there and I remember
I was rocking back and forth and I kept on thinking … Oh my God.
EDEN Definitely weren’t planning [a pregnancy]. There wasn’t a baby in the future yet, but it’s here now. Got to enjoy the moment. Everything happens for a reason. People say it is a publicity stunt – how do you respond to that?
CYRELL It does shock us. What I find funny is people who tend to comment about it, sit there and say so many times: “I’m really happy with my life”. But if you’re so happy, why are you so focused on our life and what we’re doing?
EDEN These rumours have been going on for months. Cyrell isn’t usually my type and I guess people thought we had different types. And when they see us strong and happy, it shocks them and it surprises me some people continuously talk about it. They’ve literally talked about it for the whole five months we’ve been in a relationship. I don’t need to name them. We know who they are and it’s a bit obsessive.
How do you deal with the backlash and trolling?
EDEN I’ve known she’s been pregnant this whole time and then you get these people coming out continuously attacking us. I had to take her phone, it’s very stressful. It could be harmful for the baby. Unfortunately, it is in a public forum. We’re all a bit guilty of it, but I think every one should just enjoy each other and empower each other.
CYRELL It’s so easy for other people to talk not knowing what our situation is. Now I wonder will my child read these articles? These hurtful things getting said about their parents … Before, I didn’t think about that. But now I think, when my kid grows up, they’ll hear this person saying this about their mum, or this person saying this about their dad.
EDEN It’s just a shame that this bickering goes on. I don’t know how many times people can say it’s a publicity stunt. Keep it to yourself. I guarantee you, there’s a thousand people out there doing a publicity stunt, I don’t care. But being told I’m doing it just gets a bit old. Especially having a baby now. It’s just very stressful and having a child … all these things can happen. Stress can cause bad things to happen. It’s very stressful. How do you think the other MAFS people will take the news? CYRELL I think they would be shocked. I was shocked. If you’re my true friend, you’re going to be genuinely happy for me and if you’re not, I know my place with you. I’m now surrounding myself with positive people and Eden’s family. I don’t care if I don’t have any more friends. I don’t care. Whatever is good for me and my partner. I’m very good friends with Jules. I think she will be very happy for me! I know how she is with kids and I know she already wants one herself. I’m sure when her day comes it will be the same thing. It will be nothing but love from Jules and Cam. They’re very good friends of ours. I love them to bits.
Have you thought about godparents? CYRELL I’ve got such a big family as it is. To pick one of my siblings … Oh my God, I’m never going to hear the end of it. Eden wants just two godmothers and two godfathers. Philippine tradition is that you can have as many as you want. More presents! I keep telling that to Eden but he wants to stick to two of each. Chances are, my brother Ivan will be a godfather. Everyone knows how close I am with him.
Any wedding bells soon?
CYRELL I think I’ll have the baby first! EDEN That’s too soon. We’ve got the baby. CYRELL The baby itself is too soon [Laughs]. But we enjoy each other. The only plan we have right now is to be the best parents for our kid.
