The famous family looks set to swell
DECKED OUT IN A DARK hooded jumper and leggings, a makeup-free Lara Worthington clutched her family’s latest addition – a puppy adopted in September – while running errands with husband Sam Worthington and youngest son Racer, 3, on October 31. With son Rocket, 4, also in the mix, family life is busy and, according to reports, set to get busier. “Lara is pregnant with her third child,” a friend told Confidential on August 29. “It is early days, but she’s very excited.”
The notoriously private couple, who married in a secret ceremony in 2014, is yet to make an announcement about expanding their brood, but in the past have spoken about their desire for another baby. “We would love a big family, and I would definitely have more kids,” Lara, 32, told Stellar magazine in April. “Some days are great, others are harder, but watching them grow up is the greatest thing.”
The founder of Base cosmetics opened up about life as a mum to the website Buro 24/7 in 2017.
“I was lucky that I had two great pregnancies and two healthy babies, but pregnancy isn’t the hard part – it’s taking them home!” she shared.
Her Avatar star husband, 43, is a crucial part of that priority shift. “I do feel grateful to have met him,” she told Stellar. “I think he would say that, too. Being a dad is his greatest role ever. He’s so present with his children and so giving.”
On the cusp of potentially having three kids under five – plus a puppy – it will be all hands on deck. “We’ve grown together and grown as a family, and I think that’s the most important thing,” Lara told Buro 24/7. “You have those days where you’re like ‘OMG’. But I feel like that’s why I’m here, to lead that legacy.”
