He’s starred in huge hits including Netflix’s Marco Polo and Alien: Covenant, and Australian actor Uli Latukefu, 36, says 2020 is going to be even bigger. In fact, he’s had to transform his body for some exciting new roles and the hard work has clearly paid off.

What makes someone sexy?

Honesty and kindness is very sexy to me. When someone is truthful to themselves and others, they’re a keeper. My wife thinks my sense of humour and being a good dad is sexy – I’ll run with that! What’s on for 2020?

I’m excited to share The Legend of Baron To’a with everyone, which is an action comedy out in February. I’m also about to shoot a movie with Taika Waititi (director of Thor: Ragnarok, writer/director Jojo Rabbit) which I can’t say too much more about but is also exciting.

Talk us through your workout routine.

It changes depending on my goal but to prepare for The Legend of Baron To’a,

I underwent a strict eight-week transformation under the guidance of celebrity trainers Chief Brabon and Emilie Brabon-Hames. Chief put me on a resultsdriven training program that combined HIIT cardio and resistance training into intense 45-minute workouts known as DARC sessions.

What’s your diet like?

During my transformation, Emilie had me on a high-protein, low-carb diet to help me strip fat, while still building muscle. Lots of lean meats, fish and of course plenty of vegies.

Why is health and fitness important to you?

Other than the fact that I really just enjoy being active and in the best shape I can be, we only get one shot in the body we have. Taking care of my body gives me the chance to make the most of every other part of my life – time with family, friends, career, goals. Those things are important to me.

Kindness and honesty is very sexy to me

Rapper and singer Lizzo (real name Melissa Jefferson) released her debut album, Lizzobangers in 2013. Only now, it seems, is the world ready to fully embrace her myriad talents – playing the flute while twerking among them. Her unapologetic sexuality has attracted worldwide fans and inspired a movement of body positivity. “I think that people love authenticity,” the Hustlers star, 31, has said of her sudden popularity. “And they love to see people truly enjoying themselves.” Posting nude snaps for her 6.1 million Instagram followers isn’t about garnering attention, she insists, it’s about self-love. “I love creating shapes with my body, and I love normalising the dimples in my butt or the lumps in my thighs or my back fat or my stretch marks. I love normalising my Black-ass elbows” she told Essence magazine in May. “I think it’s beautiful.”
