It’s about respecting food and enjoying food from all senses – the smell, the taste, the feel and the look of food.

The plant-based trend is still going strong and people are seeking information on how to easily (and deliciously) incorporate more plants into their diet. Food from a gut perspective is still a strong interest for people and I often get asked what people can eat to nourish their microbiome and how this can impact other areas of health including mental health.

It’s all about shifting the balance of your diet towards low carb, moderate protein and a high-fat intake. When we limit carbs, our body runs on fat for fuel instead, which can help to facilitate weight loss, stabilise blood sugar levels and reduce food cravings, to name a few benefits.

People honestly don’t realise how flexible it is. It’s often presumed every meal involves a plate of meat, but a keto diet is definitely possible if you are vegetarian or vegan. Considering 70 per cent of your daily calories come from healthy fats, there are many healthy plant-based fat sources to choose from – think avocado, extra virgin olive oil, nuts, seeds, tahini and nut butters.

I know firsthand, in today’s fastpaced lifestyle, it can be hard to maintain a certain way of eating. This is exactly why Keto-Fit made a range that will support your whole day. It will help you save some of those meal-prepping hours and spend that extra time on the important things while still hitting your macros and staying in ketosis.
