SHE’S THE ONE
Leo DiCaprio settles down
After years as one of Hollywood’s most hard-topin-down playboys, Leonardo DiCaprio is getting serious with his model-actress girlfriend Camila Morrone. On June 19, the loved-up and low-key couple celebrated Morrone’s 23rd birthday with a star-studded yacht excursion in Los Angeles. The actor, 45, was seen partying with the birthday girl on the 43m superyacht Leight Star, which sailed from Marina Del Ray to Malibu. Actress Nina Dobrev, Olympic snowboarder Shaun
White and actors Kevin
Connolly and Lukas Haas also attended the daytime event, which appeared to have a western theme.
DiCaprio and Morrone, who were first romantically linked in January 2018, have been quarantining together at the Oscar winner’s Los Angeles home, and the once-notorious playboy is reportedly embracing the opportunity for intimacy. “He is usually very independent, spends lots of time with friends, but because of the lockdown, he has mostly spent time with Camila,” a source tells WHO’s sister magazine People. “He loves being with her. They are very close and he seems serious about her.”
In early June, the couple ventured out of their love bubble and were seen picking up pizza and groceries from Eataly in Los Angeles. They loaded bags into their car and ate their pizzas before driving off, making sure to stay safe on their grocery run by wearing cloth masks and latex gloves.
“They’re always together, but like maintaining privacy,” another source tells Us Weekly. “They’re really great for one another and have been enjoying this time together off the grid.”
In February, the pair made their public debut as a couple when they sat together in the front row at the Oscars, where DiCaprio was nominated for his starring role in Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood. It was the first time the star had brought a date to the awards show since bringing his ex-girlfriend Gisele Bündchen in 2005.
Morrone, who has received buzz for her breakout role in the independent film Mickey and the Bear, has only ever briefly spoken about her relationship with DiCaprio, saying their 22-year age gap doesn’t bother her. “There’s so many relationships in Hollywood – and in the history of the world – where people have large age gaps,” she told the Los Angeles Times in December. “I just think anyone should be able to date who they want to date.”
DiCaprio was once a serial dater, having famous flings with actress Blake Lively, and a string of models including Bar Refaeli, Erin Heatherton, Toni Garrn and Nina Agdal – famously breaking things off with each one before they turned 25.
This time with Morrone, say sources, is different. “They’re very in love,” an insider tells Us Weekly. “They’ve talked about getting engaged,” adding that Leo has “never loved a girl like this.”
