What attracted you to the role on Amazing Grace?

The story has a lot of heart and it tackles a few issues I’ve never seen approached on a television screen before. Max also has an interesting story arc. The cast is amazing so it was a no-brainer for me to sign on.

How was it working with such a strong female cast?

I’ve had the pleasure of working alongside strong female-led casts and female-driven stories a few times now, and I always enjoy it. Amazing Grace is absolutely no exception. This cast is sensational and so generous and funny. Truly, it was a joy to be a part of it. You’ve worked alongside some of Australia’s most successful actors including Russell Crowe, Mel Gibson and Chris Hemsworth. What have you learned from them? I guess the resounding thing I’ve learned from all three of those actors is how best to “be” on set. With Chris, it was about keeping a cool, calm head amidst the chaos of shooting. Russ has this ability to clearly communicate, and Mel’s focus always on the work was inspiring to witness. I could go on and on about my experiences with these three for hours! How has the past year been for you?

It was pretty interesting! I spent quite a bit of time in Queensland when COVID-19 got really bad and the lockdowns were in place. It was nice to spend time with family outside of holidays, birthdays or weddings. I started learning more about health and fitness, too. Our job is very aesthetically oriented, so I figured that with the time off I should do something to help myself in that area. (Amazing Grace airs Wed., 9pm on
