After 27 years of marriage and having amassed a fortune valued at $187 billion, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, 65, and his philanthropist wife Melinda, 56, have announced they are divorcing. “After a great deal of thought and a lot of work on our relationship, we have made the decision to end our marriage,” they said in a joint statement. “Over the last 27 years, we have raised three incredible children and built [the Bill and Melinda Gates] Foundation that works to enable all people to lead healthy, productive lives. We continue to share a belief in that mission and will continue to work together.”The financial details around the divorce have not yet been made public.

How I Met Your Mother star Jason Segel has split with long-term girlfriend Alexis Mixter. The artist, 42, announced her break-up with the 41-year-old actor on Instagram. “It is odd to write about the end of a relationship, especially when the friendship that still exists is so full of life. But change happens and we made the decision to let ourselves grow away from what our relationship had been and into what it was becoming,” Mixter said on the post.
The couple met and began dating in 2013.

Pop star Ellie Goulding, 34, has welcomed her first child with husband Caspar Jopling, 29. The proud dad confirmed the news on Instagram on May 2. “Mum and baby both healthy and happy. Extremely grateful,” he shared. The couple married in 2019 after dating for two years. • Natalie Dormer has revealed she welcomed a daughter earlier this year. “She’s just three months and she’s an absolute joy, but I’m never going to complain about shooting hours ever again because sleep deprivation is something else,” the Game of Thrones star said on the That’s After Life! podcast. The infant is the first child for the actress, 39, and her husband David Oakes, 37. • Tara Pavlovic has given birth to a baby boy. The former Bachelor star, 30, announced the arrival of her son on Instagram on May 2. “Welcome to the world Paddy George Shepherdson. Words can’t describe how beyond in love we are with you,” she captioned the post. The baby is the first for her and husband Nick Shepherdson. The pair wed in September last year.

Actress Olympia Dukakis passed away in New York City on May 1, aged 89. Dukakis’ career spanned more than six decades but she is best known for her role as Clairee in Steel Magnolias and her Oscar-winning performance in Moonstruck.
MARRIED
Australian actors Patrick Brammall and Harriet Dyer have married in a beachside ceremony in Tampa, Florida. The wedding took place just five days after the Offspring star, 45, proposed to the Love Child star, 32, in the same location. The couple have been dating since 2017 after they met on the set of No Activity.

Actor Josh Lucas has found love. The Sweet Home Alabama star, 49, is dating model Rachel Mortenson, 37. Page Six reported the pair met during the coronavirus pandemic and are “inseparable”.
