She may be staying out of the spotlight as much as possible these days, but Adele gave a glimpse of her private life as she celebrated her 33rd birthday on May 5. The singer treated fans to a stunning trio of snaps, showing fans that she’s looking and feeling better than ever. “Thirty Free,” she captioned the images.
The ‘Hello’ hitmaker unveiled her incredible 45kg weight loss [see breakout] last year, and since then has maintained her new diet and fitness regimen. “She’s telling friends she feels like a new woman,” revealed the source. “Her main focuses are being a mum to son Angelo, writing and recording new music, and putting her health front and centre.”
Despite a recent sadness due to the loss of her long-estranged father Mark Evans to cancer, Adele is living her life to the fullest. Prior to her father’s passing, the star was snapped living it up on a rare night out at actor Daniel Kaluuya’s Oscars afterparty in Los Angeles last month, alongside a slew of A-list guests. Adele was seen taking selfies with friends, enjoying cocktails and dancing into the early hours of the morning. “She let loose at that party,” an onlooker shared of the star.
While she hasn’t been shy about rubbing shoulders with her new Hollywood pals since arriving in Los Angeles from London, Adele is in no hurry to jump into another serious relationship following the end of her three year marriage to Simon Konecki in 2019. The pair finalised their drawn-out divorce in March. “Adele is proud of how she and Simon handled their split. It was very amicable,” a source told Life & Style.
The pair now share joint custody of their 8-year-old son Angelo – made easier by the fact they live across the street from each other in California – and neither of them are paying child support. “They talk regularly, mostly about Angelo, and they truly want the best for each other,” added the insider.
Although amicable, the mum-of-one was more than ready to put that chapter of her life behind her. And now that she has, insiders say Adele feels like a weight has been lifted. Despite whispers of a romance with British rapper Skepta, 38, the singer has been concentrating on herself and is feeling more confident than ever – with new music reportedly being released later this year. “Adele says she’s really enjoying life at the moment,” shared the Life & Style source. “She has her adorable son, her thriving career and her health – it doesn’t get much better.” •
