How are you feeling about Luxe Listings Sydney going to air?

I’ve never done anything like this before, so I was a bit daunted. I’m a single mum of two girls – Myka is 2 and Nava is 5 – and I wondered how I’d fit filming in around them and my business, but now I’m glad I did the show because I love stretching myself and it’s been a lot of fun. How long have you been in Sydney real estate?

I started as a PA at Laing+Simmons in Double Bay when I was 20, but I left for a while because I wanted

to get into sales and back then I was told “girls don’t do sales”. I was like, “Well, that’s bulls--t.” After a few years, I came back to that firm as an agent and now, 28 years later, I co-own the whole business. Did you know Gavin and Simon, who appear on the show with you? Yes, I know them well. We’re all friends, colleagues and fiercely competitive, which should make for some great TV. What do you think is special about this show? I don’t have time to watch a lot of TV, but I would watch this even if

I wasn’t in it! I like that you get to have a look at some of the world’s most jaw-dropping properties;

I recently sold three houses in a week worth a combined $60m. But this show has a lot of heart, too. It’s about the relationships we build with each other and our clients.

You’re very successful. Is doing a reality TV show a risk for you?

It is. I was the last person to sign on to the show for that reason, but I love a challenge and I’m so proud of my work.

(Premieres Wed., Jul. 9 on Amazon Prime Video)
