WHO

THE WHITE LOTUS

STARRING: Connie Britton, Murray Bartlett

-

Filmed on the scenic island of Maui, The White Lotus follows the vacations of a bunch of “rich, white and f---ed up” hotel guests over the span of a week, as they relax and rejuvenate in paradise. But with each passing day, a darker side is revealed not only of the guests, but the hotel’s cheerful employees and the idyllic location itself.

Set at an exclusive Hawaiian resort called The White Lotus, the six-part satire comedy features an amazing ensemble cast including Connie Britton, Jennifer Coolidge, Alexandra Daddario and Australia’s own Murray Bartlett – who you might recognise from roles in Sex and the City and Nashville, or Down Under productions such as Home and Away, Neighbours, McLeod’s Daughters and The Secret Life of Us.

In The White Lotus, Bartlett plays fastidious resort manager Armond, who, after a sudden trauma, begins a dramatic downward spiral. Britton takes on the role of Nicole, a successful type-A exec who can’t help but treat her family – who are also joining her at the resort – like disobedient employees. Meanwhile, Legally Blonde’s Coolidge plays the wealthy but unstable Tanya McQuoid, who, while recovering from the death of her mother, is looking for love and in desperate need of a massage.

Rounding out the star-studded cast are Divorce’s Molly Shannon, WandaVision’s Jolene Purdy and Euphoria’s Lukas Gage.

(Premieres Mon., Jul. 12, 11am on Fox Showcase and available to stream on Foxtel On Demand)
